What is Earnie?
Earnie is a family app where parents create chores that children complete to earn XP (experience points). Kids can save their XP to earn interest or spend it on rewards — learning responsibility and basic economics along the way.
How does XP interest work?
When kids save their XP instead of spending it, the app adds a small percentage of interest each week. Over time, this compounds — just like a real savings account. It's a fun way to teach kids that saving pays off.
Is Earnie safe for children?
Absolutely. Children's accounts are created by parents, and no third-party services collect data from child accounts. Younger kids log in with a simple PIN — no email or password needed. We comply with GDPR.
What's the difference between Free and Premium?
Free gives you up to 5 chores and 2 children — enough to try Earnie out. Premium unlocks unlimited chores, custom rewards, XP interest, savings goals, and support for the whole family.
How do kids log in?
There are two options: younger kids use a family invite code + their name + a 4-digit PIN. Older kids can log in with email or phone number and a password. Parents choose the method when adding a child.
Which devices are supported?
Earnie is available on iPhone and iPad running iOS 16 or later. An Android version is planned for the future.
